Nikki Kimboko is a visual artist who lives and works in Jackson Heights, NY.

She explores her artistic work through a focus on color work, pattern blending and geometric shapes,
accented with thoughtfully hand stitched details.

Nikki began quilting as a way of creating in the between times of my family life. She can be found throughout Queens and beyond with fabric, needle and thread.

She received a BFA at Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.

Her current project  "Here, this is the way: wayfinding safe spaces", is a gesture of welcome, a sign of safety in the form of a quilt block. Follow the map, find safe spaces.

This work was made possible, in part, by a 2025 Queens Art Fund new work grant awarded by the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA), in conjunction with the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA).
